The snow is melting very slowly and it looks as though a neighbour cat has been exploring too! I took the photos in the dark with a flash and they are super sparkly as a result!

Frosty
This photo was taken by my Mum, Ali. I don’t think I’ve ever seen frost on a cobweb like this, looks like beautiful lace.
Yesterday I decided to go on my own frost finding adventure. I saw a sofa covered in frost which was glistening.
Today I got up early, threw on clothes and Al and I wandered to the Pirate park in search of more frosty sights. It wasn’t as cold but there were still some signs that Frost had visited. I love a frosty morning!
I might well have ended up on the amazing swing…
Familiar walk
In Hall Green in Birmingham there are great walks by the river. The best remedy for over eating is stretching your legs and Christmas leads to me regularly eating too much. Everything is so familiar but there are always new things to discover. I always seek out the lock whenever I go that way.
We met a lovely woman who feeds the geese everyday. She called one of them lefty, one righty and one blindy; she says that they are regularly attacked by dogs.

Favourite grey
The grey paint they use to cover up graffiti and tags that turn up on walls around the city, is my favourite grey. The squares of it everywhere makes me very happy indeed.
Extreme camping
For the last week I have been living in a tent at Lanefoot Farm Campsite and it has been just what I needed. The weather has been changeable and challenging but somehow this made it feel more like an adventure. I saw so many animals, which made me extremely happy! The saying ‘The grass is always greener’ definitely applies to the Lake District, the grass is incredibly green and the views are outstanding! The first thing I found when I explored the campsite was discarded camping chairs and you can imagine how delighted I was. Here they are:

These are my favourite animals that I saw. The chicks were being taught how to catch and eat worms around our tent and they were super cute!
Pop off II
Nicky has sent me these photo’s of her poppies and they are blooming beautiful! I especially like the pink crinkly one, the petals look so delicate.
It’s a pop off
At work Nicky and I are having a pop off, involving photographing the poppies in our gardens and bringing in the photos to show each other. Everyday I look out of the window and there’s new ones. I think they are so beautiful! Here are some of the photo’s:
Photography Expedition
At the end of February Amy, Haydn and I went on an expedition to take photos. It was such a great Sunday afternoon activity! We went to Rufford Park and I was taught how to use depth of field. I have used this in the past but I have always struggled to retain the information (anything with numbers falls out of my head!). The weather was a bit bleak and we were very chilly, but we perserved and had good fun! Here are my favourite photographs:
Afterwards we sat down in the warmth of the cafe and had well deserved treats. I had a cup of tea and a blueberry muffin.
Furniture frenzy
Today has been crazy bonkers! I have saw an amazing amount of discarded furniture within the space of half an hour. I made me so happy! It was so windy and so they became more like animated sculptures.
